Hello! Hello! Hello!
Today is Tuesday so you know what that means! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish weekly meme that is currently run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s (January 14th, 2020) topic: Bookish Discoveries I Made In 2019. Allons-y! The prompt said this could be books, authors, blogs, websites, apps, products, etc. I decided to do a mix of things.
Authors:
2019 was such a great year for debut authors it was crazy. A couple of them made my auto-buy list for sure. Here are some authors that I think you should all keep an eye on.
Emily A Duncan
Her debut Wicked Saints was absolutely amazing. I just adored her writing and she gave us the Malachiasz
Christine Lynn Herman
This is my author crush of 2019. The Devouring Gray is now one of my all-time favourite reads. If you are a fan Maggie Stiefvater, you need to check out Christine Lynn Herman.
Casey McQuiston
If you haven’t read Red, White and Royal Blue yet, Sweetie! What are you waiting for?
Isabel Sterling
Another great debut that made my top list of 2019 is These Witches Won’t Burn. There were a couple of witch books that came out last year and this one for me was on top of them all.
Bookstagram
Don’t worry I knew what Bookstagram was I just hadn’t used it in almost a year. In the second part of 2019, I decided to completely revamp my style and esthetic on there.
The Nevernight Web series
People who know me know that I am a huge fan of Jay Kristoff and that The Nevernight Chronicles are my favourite books. I was so stoked when I heard that Piera Forde was making a web series out of the first book. It is so well done and very true to the book. If you want to check it out follow this link to a playlist of the series ⇒ HERE
Book Birds Blog Yearly YA Release
I love this site so much. Makes it so easy to see what YA books are coming out each month and on which day. Megan does an amazing job, check out her YA 2020 Releases ⇒ HERE
Let’s chat!
Who are some authors that you discovered in 2019? Any bookish merch or site I need to know? Leave me a comment.
Such a wonderful post! I’m so glad you got to discover so many amazing authors and other bookish things in 2019. I discovered a few amazing BookTubers (Paperback Dreams and Read w Cindy ) and a lot of bloggers and some authors, including Alice Oseman, Elizabeth Acevedo and of course, Casey McQuiston! Can’t wait to find out more this year!

I’ve seen a few people discovered McQuiston this year. I think she’s probably a bit too romantic for my taste. Lovely list!

Surprisingly the book is more about finding yourself and acceptance. The romance is almost second to all the other themes.

I definitely need to read ‘These Witches Won’t Burn’ and ‘Red, White and Royal Blue’ very soon. I was in such a reading slump but I’m finally back to normal and have so much catching up to do! Great post! 🙂
