Hello! Hello! Hello!
Are you really a reader if you don’t have a TBR the size of mount Everest? Lol! In the last years, I have accumulated so many books and I blame all of you for it (not really, lol). You all need to stop having so many brilliant recs. So in 2020, I need to start getting to my backlist of books. I decided to make a list of the ones I really wanted to read. Allons-y!
I have sorted these by the year they appeared on my TBR
2016
These have been on it for a while now as you can see. So these should be the first ones that I read. I have heard a lot of good about The Abyss Surrounds Us. I know a lot of people liked the f/f relationship in it, I am really excited to read it.
♦ The Graces by Laure Eve ♦
♦ The Abyss Surrounds Us by Emily Skrutskie ♦
2017
Both of these were cover buys initially. They both look amazing. I haven’t heard a lot about Dark Breaks the Dawn but City of Brass is all the rave.
♦ Dark Breaks the Dawn by Sara B. Larson ♦
♦ The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty ♦
2018
2018 was such an expensive year lol, I added so many books to my TBR. I’ve been wanting to read these books forever but kept pushing them. So this year is the year.
♦ Grim Lovelies by Megan Shepherd ♦
♦ Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton ♦
♦ Onyx and Ivory by Mindee Arnett ♦
♦ The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke ♦
♦ The Dark Beneath the Ice by Amelinda Bérubé ♦
♦ The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller ♦
Let’s chat!

I just put together a list of priority backlist titles I’d still like to get to and Grim Lovelies was on there despite the low rating it has on Goodreads. I personally think I’ll really enjoy it and happy to see not everyone is deterred by the rating.

Yeah same. I know it’s a polarizing book but I think it’s something that I will really enjoy.

City of Brass was excellent! I also really loved Strange Grace and Song of Achilles. I just bought Onyx&Ivory off bookoutlet, so I can’t wait to try it!
